Cash For Candy, November 2, 2009

We want Halloween to be fun for kids without it leading to toothaches and additional dental  visits so on Monday November 2nd from 3 to 6 pm we are taking back Halloween.  Trick or Treaters can bring in their excess candy and we will buy it from them for $1 per pound (limit $5 per child so there is enough to go around.)   We are then going to take all of the candy we collect and ship it to our troops overseas!  We have partnered with Operation Gratitude for the shipping.  They have shipped almost 500,000 care packages to our troops and are excited to participate in this event!

Just bring in your candy, we will weigh it and give you cash!  Each child who donates will be given a firefly flashing timer toothbrush and numerous gift certificates and coupons for local area restaurants.  Tropical Smoothie Cafe will be here giving out complimentary smoothies.  We will have popcorn, cookie decorating, face painting, balloon animals, and much more.  We also invite each child to write, draw, or color a card to send to our heroes with their candy donation.

There will be raffles for the parents including dinner for two to Nora’s Osteria, electric toothbrushes, teeth whitening, 2 tickets to Barbara and Frank at the Riviera, Hair treatment at Tease Boutique Salon, Cookie Bouquets, and a free workout with a personal trainer.

Please check back after the event for pictures and a complete list of sponsors!
